About Shamini Jain:
Dr. Shamini Jain is a clinical psychologist, scientist, author, educator, and vocalist. She is the founder and CEO of the Consciousness and Healing Initiative a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the science and practice of healing. She holds a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior from Columbia University, an M.A. in Integrative Health Psychology from the University of Arizona, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a research focus in psychoneuroimmunology from the San Diego State University and UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA and serves as an adjunct professor at UC San Diego.
Dr. Jain is the author of the award-winning book Healing Ourselves: Biofield Science and the Future of Health. She is also a longtime performer whose vocal work spans classical, mantra, folk, rock, and metal.
